I am specialist shoulder surgeon in Cardiff with a holistic approach to shoulder problems. My practice has evolved to become specialised in soft tissue and sports injuries with specific interest in the latest arthroscopic techniques.
Growing up in Cardiff, I attended university in Nottingham, returning to Wales for my surgical training. I completed two fellowships in shoulder surgery and sports injury in Sydney, Australia, where I trained in arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery.

Have you injured your shoulder?
My primary focus is always to try the best for all patients, and make sure that non-surgical options are explored and maximised. I therefore work closely with other colleagues and therapists in the field to achieve this level of treatment. I am an active member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society. I regularly present my latest research projects. I have been a consultant in South Wales for approximately 20 years with a wealth of experience in the field.
Is your shoulder stopping you achieving your goals?
I am an Honorary Surgeon to the Welsh Rugby Union, English Rugby Union, the welsh rugby regions and the majority of English Rugby Premiership teams in the south of England. In addition, I treat several football and cricket teams in the south of the UK.
